In this section, find information and month-by-month descriptions of what goes on in my kitchen and garden for individual fruits, vegetables and herbs. More will be added as I use them in my recipes or stories. I use terms for gardening and preserving that might not be familiar to everyone, but a quick internet search will fill in the gaps. For example, all growing and cooking calendars in this blog are based on my garden’s hardiness zone, which is 6B, and a good result from searching “hardiness zone” on Google was:
