As I had mentioned in a previous post (click here, for an insight), I was determined to taste at least one bite of my garden lettuce, so here it is, my first garden salad of the year. The strawberries could have used an extra day or two before harvesting, but were delicious in the salad, with the sweet touch of Mexican agave syrup in my homemade vinaigrette.
Printable recipe: Simple Garden Salad
Simple Garden Salad (with Agave Syrup)
Ingredients (single serving)
1 cup baby greens
2-3 strawberries, halved
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp agave syrup
Pinch of salt
Arrange baby greens and strawberries on a salad plate; drizzle olive oil, balsamic vinegar and agave syrup on top; season with a sprinkle of salt, to taste.
Yay! You’re in, thanks for posting.
