This is my first garden salad of the year. The strawberries could have used an extra day or two before harvesting, but were delicious in the salad, with the sweet touch of Mexican agave syrup in my homemade vinaigrette.

My Mother’s Day was very nice, this past May 13th. I could not make up my mind between two flavours I wanted for my cake, so my daughter cut it in half vertically, and divided a large batch of buttercream icing, to create a “half-and-half” cake ... click on image for more
