This is my first garden salad of the year. The strawberries could have used an extra day or two before harvesting, but were delicious in the salad, with the sweet touch of Mexican agave syrup in my homemade vinaigrette.

Last Sunday, I learned that the robin nest had only one baby; all grown up, but with a speckled chest confirming a young age, it was bravely standing by the edge, preparing to leave the safety of the straw basket, and join the wide and wild world.
